Ingredients
(4 - 6 Servings)
250 gm chicken thigh fillets
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
2 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
3 tsp of red chilli powder (kashmiri)
1 tsp of coriander powder
½ tsp of cumin seeds powder
1 tsp of garam masala
½ tsp of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
2 tbsp of oil
Directions
Cut and wash the chicken well.
Add chicken in a bowl.
Add ½ tsp of salt, ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp of lemon juice in the chicken.
Mix everything well.
Keep the chicken aside for 30 minutes.
Keep the pan on flame.
Add 2 tbsp of oil in pan.
When the oil is heated, add chopped onion.
Fry the onion on medium flame until it turns golden in color.
Add 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste and mix it.
Cook it for few minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes and mix.
Cook it on low-medium flame until tomatoes become soft.
Add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, ½ tsp of cumin seeds powder, 2 tsp of red chilli powder, and mix it well.
Cook it for 1-2 minutes.
Add fresh coriander leaves and mix it.
Add marinated chicken and mix everything well.
Add salt to taste, garam masala and mix it well.
Cover the pan with lid and cook it on low flame for 10-12 minutes.(Don’t add water)
Open the lid carefully.
Mix chicken well.
Chicken releases the water.So we don’t need to add the water.
Cook the chicken on medium flame until it becomes soft with thick gravy.
Turn off the flame.
Mix the chicken well. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve the chicken in serving plate and enjoy with roti, rice, bread or naan.
